Sean McLeod will have the opportunity of a lifetime, as he embarks upon an artistic journey with his life-long idol, the incomparable Carmen DaLavallade, to set the new dance work entitled "Standing on Shoulders."

McLeod will see his vison come to life in the tribute piece to Mrs. DeLaVallade. The tribute to all "the greats" will explore contributions of the dance masters of yesterday, and that unexplainable relationship between a master-turned-mentor, and the dancer-turned-apprentice, that can sometimes only be explained through movement.

This works pays tribute to the essence of the legendary contributors of dance, by helping us remember the selfless acts of genuine learning that traditional dancers experience in rehearsal, and how that relationship spawned some of the world's most timeless and enduring works.
