Kevin T. Collins: Biography

Kevin T. Collins received a BFA in drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, with a concentration in the Collaborative Arts Project 21 for musical theatre, and the Stonestreet Studios for television and film. Mr. Collins has performed in dramatic and musical theater productions consistently across New York City, working extensively in New York’s Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway Theater scene, showing his strong dramatic presence in such events as the Midtown International Theatre Festival and the New York International Fringe Festival, and originating roles in new works such as Beelzebub in Paradise Lost, Chico in One Way Ticket to Hell, Jack/Jerkins in The Gathering Room, as well as reprising roles in City of Angels, Camelot, Crazy for You, Twelve Angry Men, and Terrence Mann’s The Lost Colony, playing in Mateo, North Carolina. Also in New York City, he played 11 characters in Paul Wells' Real Live Sex on Stage, played 12 characters in Richard Vorndran's Please Please Please Love Me, and originated the role of Eddie in David Patterson's The Blonde.

Kevin’s character on Guiding Light recently became a recurring character, as he was asked back to reprise the role, airing on CBS daytime television.  In other New York City television shows, Kevin recently was featured on NBC’s Law and Order, playing a principal role, Assistant Medical Examiner, Mel Fine, opposite TV and major motion picture star, Dennis Farina.  Kevin has also played to cable TV audiences, having performed on Comedy Central’s Stella, opposite Michael Ian Black, recently made famous by the TV show “Ed.” Kevin also recently performed on the Pilot episode of ABC’s Pros & Cons.

Kevin starred in the new film, Inner Rage, shot on location in New Jersey (Watch the trailer at www.ochavostudios.com), and The Sickness, filmed in Astoria. His work in horror and suspense movies is listed on such websites as moviecrypt.com, horrorwatch.com, and horror-movies.ca, He is listed most notably for his recent work in the film, Aunt Rose, which will be released across the country on Sept. 12th, 2006, available in such stores as Best Buy, Blockbuster, and the ever popular, Netflix.  Other recent film releases of Kevin's include Black Mary, Tuesday, and Last Rites of the Dead.  His short films, including Concoction, The Enchanting Box, Tollbooth Love Story, and Teenage Superhero Pregnancy Scare, have recently shown in film festivals all around the country.

Kevin is regularly listed on animenewsnetwork.com for his numerous roles in Japanese Anime cartoon series and movies, as well as having an actor’s profile on the Internet Movie Database, imbd.com. You can find his voice breathing intense life into numerous nationally recognized Anime roles within DVD collections and TV series, such as Berserk (TV) as Griffith, Hades Project Zeorymer (OAV) as Ritsu, Magic User's Club (OAV) as Ayanojyo Aburatsubo, Sadamitsu the Destroyer (TV) as Toru, Samurai Deeper Kyo (TV) as Shirogarusu, Shrine of the Morning Mist (TV) as Tadaaki Amatsu, Shura no Toki (TV) as Mitsuyoshi Jubei Yagyu, The Gokusen (TV) as Shin Sawada, and Twin Signal (OAV) as Pulse. At the New York Institute of Dance and Education, Kevin is a guest Acting and Vocal Performance coach. He has been on faculty for the esteemed New York Musical Theater Project, a division of the nationally recognized New York Dance Festival. Kevin is also writing and arranging new material for his second original acoustic rock album, tentatively titled In-between, which is currently in pre-production with White Nite Productions, NYC.
