The world is coming to the Finger Lakes in July, 2010!
Initially established by three Purchase Conservatory of Dance alum, the New York Dance Festival now hosts people from around the world who gather in Auburn, New York City, Saratoga, Geneva, Syracuse, and Rochester, NY for one of the nation's most unique cultural expressions, the New York Dance Festival. This cultural Festival brings the explosive multicultural arts scene of New York City, and the world, to beautiful Upstate New York. With critically acclaimed concerts, world-class dance classes, guest lecturers, and a Gala Event, the two-week Festival creates a world stage for dance, drumming, and music in the Finger Lakes. The Festival runs July 5 - 16, 2010, and includes the New York Summer Dance Intensive, the New York Drum Festival, the New York Musical Theater Project, the Carmen De Lavallade Award for Dance, Fellowships, Residencies, and a World Class Concert Series.
