The Syllabus Study Program is designed for dancers who wish to acquire a significant understanding of dance technique. The classes are scheduled close together allowing dancers to retain strength and class material. Participants progress quickly due to the requirement that class must be attended regularly or study must be supplemented with private lessons. Syllabus study I, II, and III respectively increase the number of classes students take to insure further growth and endurance. Syllabus I is not required for Syllabus II participants, but is strongly recommended. The Syllabus Program is for those students who desire the most rapid growth, as a dancer, performer, and person. It is a 10-month commitment offering the client a consistent schedule with a specific progression in the lessons. Syllabus I introduces the client to elements of ballet and jazz, giving them the beginnings of both the verbal and physical vocabularies needed for dance. Clients participating in Syllabus II take the next step by adding an MT Afro Hip Hop class to their regiment. In Syllabus III, we really start to apply movement and performance techniques, and this program again expands the range of the dancer by adding an advanced level modern technique class. You will also notice that by adding these additional techniques, clients are also increasing their frequency of class. This allows the body to develop healthy habits as well as the strength and flexibility necessary to dance. ![]() |
