RECEIVING TUITION AT REGISTRATION (Registration Agreement)

Annual Registration and first month's tuition are due at the time of your first class. The Annual Registration fee is equal to the amount of one month's tuition (i.e. a $49 dollar Dance Card would total $98 to complete that registration package). All subsequent payments are due on the 27th of the month, and are payable to the New York Institute of Dance and Education or N.Y.I.D.E. The Open Dance Card policy requires a 30-day notice before withdrawal. This policy does not apply to the Syllabus Programs. The Syllabus Program is a 10 month financial commitment. We ask that you present a credit card to keep on file. We accept VISA and MasterCard. If payment is not made by the 15th of the month, this card will be charged one month's fee. There is a $10 late fee for tuition paid after the 1st of the month and a $15 fee if received after the 10th, so please plan ahead.

TUITION FOR PRIVATES

Due to the overwhelming demand for specialized instruction, clients must pay for their class at the time they make their appointment. If a client wishes to study regularly, they must pay for their first and last class at the time they make that agreement. This may require you mailing your tuition if you travel long distances. Please plan ahead as no exceptions can be made. If you are regularly scheduled for a lesson, you are financially responsible for that lesson even if you miss it or don’t take it. In cases of illness one will receive the lesson at a later date.

DANCE CARD SYSTEM

When a person registers with the school they will purchase a dance card that will depict the number of classes they wish to take in one (1) month’s time. The dancer may then take those classes in any order and day they desire. They may take them all in a row or spread them out as will be suggested by N.Y.I.D.E. For instance, if a person misses two weeks for vacation they may come back in that month and take all of the allotted classes in one week. This gives the dancer (and their parents) total control over their dance study.

Based on the Dance Card System there are no make up classes. It is the responsibility of the dance card holder (payee) to take their allotted number of classes from the more than ample selection of days, times, and levels (Classes are not transferable from month to month, please do not ask). Classes are not transferable from dancer to dancer.

REGISTRATION AGREEMENT

Registration fee and first month's tuition are due at the time of the first class. All subsequent payments are due the first day of each consecutive month. All payments are made directly to N.Y.I.D.E. There is a $10 late charge that allows tuition to be paid after the 1st of the month and $15 fee if received after the 10th, so please plan ahead if you wish to avoid the this fee. Understand, one is responsible for the next month’s tuition if written notice is not given to N.Y.I.D.E. by the 27th of the present month, informing N.Y.I.D.E. of one's withdrawal.

N.Y.I.D.E. reserves the the right to cancel or reschedule classes with posted notification 24 hours prior to the respective dance class, or with a phone call (lessons are not conducted on national holidays, N.Y.I.D.E. mirrors the Auburn School District's academic calendar for holidays AND school closings due to weather). Understand, there is a three person minimum in order for a class to be conducted. A class continuing with less than three persons is done at the teacher's discretion (this rule does not apply to private lessons).
